We’re a San Jose crew that spends more time in attics than we do in an office. The people who show up at your door are the same ones who measured your attic, cut the batts, and check the final R-value before we call the job done. Most of us have been working in South Bay homes for a decade or more, and we’ve seen how a poorly insulated attic behaves in an August heat wave or a January cold snap. Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician
Marcus has been installing insulation in San Jose since 2011, and he’s worked on everything from 1920s bungalows in Willow Glen to brand-new builds in Silver Creek. He’s our lead on spray foam jobs, and he holds an OSHA 30 certification plus manufacturer training from Icynene and Demilec. Marcus is the guy who can tell you within five minutes whether your attic needs R-38 or R-49 just by walking through the house. He’s also the crew’s designated food-finder, and he’ll happily tell you where to get the best breakfast burrito near any job site in the city.
Elena R. – Senior Installer
Elena joined Laurel Attic Insulation San Jose in 2014 after years in residential construction, and she’s the one we send on the tricky retrofit jobs: low-slope roofs, tight crawl spaces, attics with old vermiculite that needs careful removal. She’s certified in Owens Corning and CertainTeed installation and specializes in insulation removal where airflow and moisture issues have done damage. Elena keeps a meticulous job log, which is why her before-and-after photo sets are consistently the most detailed. Outside of work, she’s a competitive trail runner and spends most weekends somewhere in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Devon P. – Service Coordinator
Devon is the voice on the phone when you call (669) 333-7274, and he’s been with us since 2019. He runs the live tracking system, so when you get an arrival time, that time came from Devon coordinating the route. He’s not an installer, but he knows enough about R-value, vent baffles, and air sealing to answer real questions, not just take messages. Devon’s the one who sends your written price before the crew arrives and your digital invoice after the job’s done. He grew up in San Jose’s Berryessa neighborhood and still lives about ten minutes from there.
Sam K. – Apprentice
Sam is the newest member of the team, apprenticing under Marcus since early 2025. He spent three years doing general construction in Sacramento before moving to San Jose, so he came in knowing how to read a job site, handle materials, and keep a workspace clean. Sam’s working through manufacturer training for Johns Manville and Knauf products now, and he handles much of the attic prep work: laying down walk boards, setting up containment, and running the vacuum lines during removal jobs. He’s the tall one who can reach duct runs the rest of us need a ladder for.
